SFI knows and understands why sea-air shipments require pre-planning down to its minutest details in order to ensure that the whole operations is seamlessly handled once the cargo lands in the UAE port. Attention to detail is critical. One small area overlooked, can cause a misconnection that means costly delays to the customer. That is why we have planned every segment of the sea-air shipments in miniscule details. Our specially trained staff follows a rigid routine that monitors each successive step in the sea-air chain that goes somewhat like this :

Pre Advise of shipment from Origin (Pcs/Wt/Dim/Cbm/Shipping Details)
Immediate booking made with airlines
Booking details notified to origin & destination (within 24 hrs) (Masterbill, Flight details)
Receipt of final alert with copy of docs from origin (M B/L, H B/L, Invoice / Packing List, Manifest)
Contacting the Shipping line for ETA details
If ETA is delayed, re-book the cargo, and advise the originating station of the same.
Depending on the FCL or LCL nature of the shipment, do a pre-clearance / or customs clearance    upon release of the DO for LCL cargo
Pick up the cargo and transfer to the Airport
Segregation /Labeling of cargo as pre marking on the boxes against manifest provided,
   re-taping if required.
Handover cargo to the airline, execute the Masterbill.
Verify uplift, advise origin and destination stations of the status.
